A Note About Juneteenth — We’ll Be Closed June 19th

This Friday, June 19th, all Centers for Opportunity locations and virtual programs will be closed in observance of Juneteenth. Please note that South County will be open as usual on Saturday and Sunday.

Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in the United States learned they were free — more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed. It is a day of remembrance, celebration, and continued commitment to the work of justice and liberation.

At CFO, we believe that freedom is something we work toward together, every day, in community. The values that shape our work — dignity, belonging, and the belief that every person deserves the chance to move forward — are rooted in the same vision Juneteenth represents.
